Alison Lynch, DVM
Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Dr. Alison Lynch is excited to return to Montgomery County for her rotating internship at VRA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Dr. Lynch’s primary professional interests include anesthesia and analgesia, with a special focus on pain management. Before veterinary school, she worked as a technician in general practice, which first sparked her love for veterinary medicine. She remains passionate about working with dogs, cats, and their families, and is interested in pursuing a residency in anesthesia.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Lynch enjoys hiking, yoga, paddleboarding, attending concerts, exploring local wineries and breweries, and spending time outdoors during the summer. She has a black cat named Bindi, who was her constant companion throughout veterinary school, and she also lives with her mom’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Scarlett.
